Tell me what your laboratory needs.
A few lines are enough: what you want to improve, what is in place, and any deadline. I will reply with the questions needed to understand the work and suggest a useful next step.
You can also email me directly at [email protected]. The first conversation is free. When the question needs a proper look, the next step is a paid review of your operation, ending in a written proposal.
First step
Send a few lines
Useful, if you have them: the sample types and rough volumes, the systems and instruments involved, and the date anything has to be ready by. For method validation, name the method, the matrix and the guideline you follow. Anything that does not fit a list is welcome too, including a problem you cannot name yet.
Before you ask
The commercial answers
The things procurement asks on the second call, available on the first.
- License
Swedish professional license, legitimerad biomedicinsk analytiker, issued by Socialstyrelsen in 2010 and verifiable in its HOSP register. I will give you what the register needs on request.
- Who you contract
Ebihara Solutions, a Swedish sole trader (enskild firma) registered since 2018 and approved for F-skatt. Organization and VAT numbers on request, and on every invoice.
- Shape of the work
Most of it is done from a desk: mapping, specification, analysis and documentation run remotely, and a site visit is for what cannot. A longer on-site engagement is open for the right project. Engagements run from a couple of days to several months; the smallest useful unit is a review of the operation and a written proposal.
- Where
Sweden and the rest of Europe, where my record is. I live in Japan, so laboratories across the Asia-Pacific are within reach on the same terms. I keep a home in Stockholm, so Stockholm-area work carries no accommodation cost. Travel beyond either region at your expense.
- Languages
Swedish is my mother tongue, English at C2, Japanese at JLPT N2. Site visits in any of the three; written documentation and reporting in Swedish or English.
- Confidentiality
I sign your NDA and work under your document control, in your templates and your version scheme.
- Ownership
The reports, plans, requirements and procedures I write for you are yours, in your templates. The calculation workbooks I deliver are yours to keep using; the methods and templates behind them remain mine, so I can offer the same work to other laboratories. For physical parts I design, I keep the design rights unless we agree otherwise, which is what lets me keep a part supported, revised and re-supplied years later; outright transfer is possible and priced separately.
- Insurance
I do not currently carry professional indemnity insurance. If your procurement rules require it, tell me early.
- Rates
No published day rate, because the work ranges from a two-day review to months of commissioning. I quote per engagement, in writing, before it starts. The exception is method validation, which is packaged and priced per method.
Scope
Scope and capacity
You work directly with me through Ebihara Solutions, a registered firm you can contract like any other supplier, and it is one person. If you need a validated software product, a regulatory submission written for you, an audit performed by an independent body, or a team of consultants on site for a year, I will say so on the first conversation. What I do is the laboratory as a working system: the sample flow, the systems that carry it, the methods, the instruments, the quality system, and the handoffs between them. Often enough, the answer includes not buying anything.
